    This fun twist on the classic Chunky Monkey Smoothie is a yummy smoothie for your little one (and you!). With creamy banana, peanut butter and a hint of cocoa, it's a delicious way to fuel your toddler’s day. Packed with healthy fats, protein, and full of fibre, it keeps tummies satisfied and taste buds happy.

    Toddler Tip: Easy Nutrient Boosters for Smoothie Time

    If you’re looking to pack even more nutrition into your Chunky Monkey Smoothie, try adding some simple fun nutrient boosters! A spoonful of chia seeds for added omega-3s, some frozen cauliflower, or a handful of oats for fiber can all easily be blended in without changing the flavour.

    Ingredients

    Ingredients for chunky monkey smoothie including milk, hemp hearts, yogurt, banana, cocoa powder, peanut butter, dates and ice.

    • banana
    • smooth peanut butter
    • Plain unsweetened, full-fat yogurt (Greek or regular)
    • hemp hearts
    • dates (pitted)
    • cocoa powder
    • cinnamon
    • ice

    Instructions

    Add all ingredients to a high speed blender.

    Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds until smooth.

    Substitutions

    • Peanut-free - use smooth almond butter or a seed butter instead of peanut butter.
    • Nut-free - omit the peanut butter and use a seed butter such as pumpkin seed butter, sunflower seed butter or tahini.
    • Dairy-free - use a plant-based beverage instead of dairy milk and you can blend in a little soft tofu instead of yogurt
    • Sweetness - to make sweeter, add 2 teaspoon of maple syrup.

    Absolutely. Simply swap out the peanut butter for sunflower seed butter, pumpkin seed butter or tahini for a nut-free option.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup milk of choice
    • 2 tbsps smooth peanut butter
    • 1 frozen banana or 1 regular banana and 1 cup of ice
    • 2 tbsps hemp hearts
    • 2 dates pitted
    • ½ cup yogurt plain, full fat (regular or Greek)
    • 2 tsps cocoa powder
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

    Instructions

    • Add all ingredients to a high speed blender.
    • Blend on high speed for 30-40 seconds until smooth.
    • Enjoy!
